Founder Carmela Krause began her bookkeeping career in 2022 as a virtual bookkeeping assistant in the Philippines, serving clients throughout the United States and Australia during and after the pandemic. Working with businesses across various industries has given her extensive experience with cloud-based accounting systems, financial organization, reconciliations, and bookkeeping best practices.
In 2024, Carmela moved to Hawaiʻi, where she embraced a new chapter in life. After marrying in 2025 and establishing her residency on the islands, she was inspired to continue the bookkeeping career she had begun years earlier. In 2026, she founded Carmela Krause Bookkeeping, LLC, driven by a mission to help small growing businesses, nonprofits, and churches gain financial clarity through accurate, reliable, and cloud-based bookkeeping solutions throughout Hawaiʻi and across the United States.
Supporting the firm's commitment to excellence is Marjorie Boyonas, CPA, Carmela's longtime friend and business partner. Their friendship began in college, where they both pursued a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and graduated in 2022. Their shared passion for accounting, continuous professional development, and dedication to exceptional client service form the foundation of the firm's values today.
Together, Carmela and Marjorie combine professional bookkeeping expertise, CPA-supported financial oversight, modern cloud-based accounting technology, and personalized service to help clients maintain accurate, organized, and decision-ready financial records.
